Hello, I'm Samantha! I'm currently a sophomore at Boston University, majoring in Advertising and minoring in Visual Arts. I'm from New York City and attended the High School of Art and Design, where I studied fashion.

 

During my high school career, I earned a Career and Technical Education diploma, NOCTI Apparel and Textile Production and Merchandising Certification, Scholastic Art and Writing Award Silver Key for Fashion Design, and a $7,000 Scholarship for Corset Design from the The Under Fashion Club.

 

Moving into BU freshman year, my parents questioned why I was bringing my sewing machine. I figured it would come in handy for minor fixes and projects of my own. Little did I know, the news traveled fast. Soon, friends and acquaintances were constantly knocking at my door, seeking my help with clothing alterations. This school year, I decided to extend my services to the entire campus community, with efforts to encourage sustainable fashion practices!
